Judgments of four drug patent cases heard by the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People's Court (SPC IP Court) have been successfully selected to the Case Law Database of Intellectual Property and Public Health, which was jointly launched by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the South Center.

It is the first time for the SPC IP Court to publish its influential cases in the field of judicial protection of intellectual property rights on the international platform as provided by the United Nations, which are expected to provide considerable references for similar cases around the world.

The four cases focused on administrative disputes over invalidation of invention patent and reexamination of its application in the field of pharmaceuticals.

The SPC IP Court has been playing its full role in equally protecting the legitimate rights and interests of various IP right holders from both home and abroad in accordance with law. At the same time it has been actively participating in and contributing to IP international communication and collaboration since its establishment on Jan 1st, 2019.
